I was amazed when a co-worker mentioned, he doesn’t have to get an oil change till next year. He has his engine oil changes done yearly. He drives a 335i BMW. He mentioned his cost, but I forgot. It is expensive, but for him, worth it.

I’m currently driving an F150 EcoBoost. I have the engine oil changed every 3,000 miles. I’ve read conventional oil can go from 3,000 to 10,000. But I’m still an old school I guess. I’ve been offered synthetic engine oil, but truthfully. I don’t always have the means. I know how to do my own oil changes, but it’s a drag to dispose of the used oil though. Also, my girlfriend brought me to live in an HOA neighborhood. It’s a drag too. Some people like them, but I don’t. But, for this HOA situation also, I prefer to take my vehicle to someone’s shop for the oil change.
